construction project management
I have become a proven leader by demonstrating my ability to co-create with staff under my supervision, colleagues at my own level, and executives. Construction cost estimates, cost analysis formulas, and detailed adjustable project schedules provide the appropriate knowledge and thus confidence to my clients that their goals are being met.
I often serve as a client and ranch representative when securing building permits with city and county agencies and when working to solve conflicts with the local agencies like the Ca. State Parks, NRCS, and Mid-Pen. While participating in meetings, discussions, project site visits, workshops, and hearings, I know how to negotiate for, and represent a client while maintaining confidentiality.
My method of management is hands-on whenever appropriate. I enjoy physical labor and understand the importance of safety and communication with everyone working on a project. Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish helps build this rapport on the job site.

ranch management
While living on a ranch since January 2009, I transferred many of his project management skills directly to the service of ranch management. Hands-on ranching experience is the only way to learn the never-ending demands and seasonal cycles of a ranch. Many of the duties are similar to project management, such as logging and reporting all financial transactions, contracting vendors for repairs and supplies, hiring, training, and management of staff, and conflict negotiation and resolution.
In addition, there are endless amounts of maintenance duties to be performed and scheduled appropriately on a large versatile ranch that can only be encompassed if a well-organized, even keeled manager is in charge. The following is a snapshot of what I currently manage at this private ranch:
Knowing that I am a service professional, my decision making framework will always be created first and foremost from what the owner values and from what the owners goals of the ranch are. From there, I work with a combination of financial, grazing, ecological, and social management/planning tools in order to create regenerative land management practices and production practices, and therefore creating a greater quality of life.

- Assess and recommend proper procedures to streamline operations such as upgrading or rebuilding outbuildings, guest accommodations, main residence, fences, barns, corrals, stables, roads, and other auxiliary structures
- Coordinate harvest times with the estate kitchen or appropriate food vendors
- With an in-depth knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, maintain all landscaped gardens including upkeep of driveways, roads, patios, and outdoor living spaces
- With the knowledge of multiple varieties of plants, flowers, and grasses, create a greenhouse and plant propagation schedule to ensure that maximum habitat is attained and the grounds are always flourishing
- Program electronics for equipment that provides the ambiance and function of garden waterfalls, swimming pools, lighting, irrigation, and ranch security systems
- Prepare and maintain clean ranch garbage facilities
- Prepare and maintain animal stalls in a clean and presentable manner for the client’s family to enjoy
- Prepare online photo documentation of all ranch activities for the client to review online from a distant location and engage in ongoing email communication with the client, if desired.
