about me
Currently designing and managing all landscape and livestock projects for a private ranch in San Mateo County, I am aware of the daily demands of a versatile ranch.
My journey began early with the influences of my father as a construction professional and my mother as a design professional. In 2000 I graduated from the College of Environmental Design at Cal with a degree in Landscape Architecture.
Since then, my professional service career has been an interesting mix of landscape, agriculture, and art. For the first 7 years of my career, I had a Landscape Design and Project Management company where I worked with numerous clients to develop a wide range of projects from vineyards and orchards to high end residential entertainment grounds.
In 2009, I broadened my focus to include a new passion, ranching. All of the projects I develop are rooted in biological and ecological design and management principles. Knowing that domestic animals should be provided an environment in which they can utilize their evolutionary traits, I have focused my efforts to create a symbiotic relationship between land, animal, and people.
With over 12 years of professional experience in the San Francisco bay area, I have built a strong and well-informed network of professionals. My work has been featured in Sunset Magazine, ACRES USA, and most recently in Garden Design Magazine where I was awarded 1st place in the Edible Gardens category for the Best Eco-Friendly Gardens competition of 2009. By identifying my clients goals and building on my diverse knowledge base, I am always ready for the next challenge.
